Honor Tab 5 to Boast 5100mAh Battery and 8-inches Display

Last updated on August 18th, 2019

The new budget-friendly tablet named Honor Tab 5 has now been announced by Honor. It has an 8-inch Full HD (1200 x 1920 pixels) display and operates a Kirin 710 CPU. The tablet itself looks pretty awesome and is made of plastic bumpers and a metal rear cover.

The Honor 6x is suggestive of this design language. There is an 8MP fixed focus camera on the front – positioned right above the display. In the meantime, an 8MP camera with autofocus is positioned around the back of the tablet.

Note that there’s no LED flash on this tablet, unfortunately. Dual speakers, however, are placed on the tablet, optimally on the top and bottom of the screen that is best used for viewing the videos.

This tablet also houses the Huawei mechanism of GPU Turbo 2.0, which is incorporated into EMUI for game performance maximization. The handful of Google Play Titles Support GPU Turbo is only the worth noting.

The Tab 5 is available with RAM of 3GB or 4GB, and onboard storage is 32GB or 64GB respectively. Most important of all, the onboard storage with a microSD slot can be expanded further to 512GB. Battery-wise, it’s powered by 5100mAh non-removable battery which, in conjunction with a Kirin 710, should provide a fairly good battery life.

It’s available in both Cellular and Wi-Fi options in its homeland country China. The Wi-Fi model set users back CNY 1099 which is approx. $164 whereas a Cellular version goes for CNY 1399 (roughly $209). It’s, for now, available only in China and will arrive on stores in other countries in a couple of weeks, as usual.
