Right after launching smartphones one after another with Google Assistant (some are still in the queue), Samsung is now planning to configure Google Assistant in its upcoming smart TVs of 2019.
Based on a report leaked by Variety, Samsung next month itself in January at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), in Las Vegas, will launch its flagship TV with Google Assistant.
Perhaps it’s not familiar, Samsung earlier this year added its own voice assistant Bixby to its 2018’s Smart TVs. But, according to Variety, it’s limited as Bixby won’t control or open 3rd party apps.
Google Assistant aside for a short while, Samsung’s upcoming Smart TVs will also supposedly optimize sound quality – depending on a surrounding environment – for instance, space size and ambient noise.
Report further indicates, this feature will be named “Audio Spatial Intelligence”. On the contrary, the upcoming Smart TV range is also expected to sport “Volume Intelligence” as well as “Audio Scenic Intelligence”.
Later, Variety also revealed that Samsung will build its TV Plus service that will offer streaming channels on Samsung TV.
Google, on the other hand, will again appear at Consumer Electronics Show in the form of an outdoor pavilion to support the announcement of the latest products – powered by Google Assistant. Although, Google’s not expected to launch any new product itself.
