In 2019, foldable devices are going to become a whole common as Samsung has geared up to released its first and foremost Foldable Smartphone in a couple of days and we are expecting others such as Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo to follow suit.
Based on a report, Microsoft has decided to support foldable form factor. It’s said that Microsoft is preparing Windows support for a foldable smartphone.
Perhaps you think that foldable devices are coming with Windows instead or Android. That’s wrong! According to the several online sources, Microsoft is going to make massive and significant investments in dual-screen hardware and foldable smartphones for both Windows and Surface.
The Microsoft’s efforts include adapting Windows to work with foldable smartphones and other hardware with dual-screens.
Microsoft has a dedicated team to work on. Well, it’s not the first time we have heard something like that. In the past, it has been reported that Microsoft was toying with an idea of dual-screen smartphones under the Andromeda codename. Chances are Microsoft will work with its OEM partners in order to push dual-screen and foldable smartphones for Windows going forward.
