Meizu 16 Plus Review – As On-Screen Fingerprint Scanner and Impressively Thin Bezels

Meizu 16 Plus Review, Release Date, Price, Specifications - Australia

A Chinese smartphone brand “Meizu” has been surprising its users as well as other smartphone users by manufacturing some of the best and good-looking smartphones. Once again, Meizu is all set to announce its greatest and latest flagship smartphone named Meizu 16 Plus in Australia alongside its younger brother Meizu 16. In terms of design, Meizu 16 Plus looks a lot like Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and sports an on-screen fingerprint scanner just like Oppo Find X and Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

This time around, things are pretty blurred but at least we can put our educated guess for now. The upcoming Meizu 16 Plus is expected to boast a gorgeous 6” IPS LCD display which is well-supported by 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution at 549 PPI for immersive visuals. Camera-wise, Meizu 16 Plus houses a dual 12MP + 20MP rear sensor and a solid 20MP front camera are also said to be a part of the package. That’s all about a camera so far.

The brain behind Meizu 16 Plus is Octa-core based Exynos – paired with a whopping 6GB of RAM and Adreno GPU manages a graphical department. To store an extensive range of apps and data with ease, Meizu 16 Plus presents a massive 64GB/128GB onboard memory that can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card. There is nothing official in terms of battery, but based on a recent rumour, a 3600mAh non-removable battery will be inside for giving users enough freedom all day long. That’s it? No! Here is where the story starts. Let’s explore more in our Meizu 16 Plus review.

Meizu 16 Plus Release Date and Price

The Meizu 16 Plus release date in Australia is expected to be in August, chances are 8th August 2018. It’s a day before Samsung Galaxy Note 9 release date. However, a bunch of rumours has been suggesting that it may release some way near September or December. Don’t expect anything until it’s on sale.

How much does it cost? The Meizu 16 Plus price in Australia is expected to be in between AU$750 to AU$800. This price seems a little higher as compared to Nokia 6.1 Plus but less compared to Vivo X21 UD.  Again, don’t hold your breath till August 8th, 2018.
