Without a doubt, 2018 is a record-breaking year for Chines biggest smartphone brand “Huawei”. According to reports, Huawei’s annual smartphone shipments have now crossed 200 Million units which are an all-time high. These shipments include a whole 2018 – though it’s yet to be cleared if Huawei’s subsidiary brand “Honor” is included in these numbers.
As we already know, Huawei has already become world’s second largest smartphone brand, beating Apple – according to a report of July 2018. Huawei has claimed that they have seen 66X growth from 2010 – when shipped around only 3 Million units in a year.
The Huawei’s share in the global market is approx. 14.6% and based on a report from International Data Corporation, Huawei is continued in a number 2 position in the 3rd quarter of 2018 – with around 52 Million units being shipped.
Huawei’s Consumer Business Group CEO Mr. Richard Yu says,
“Huawei will continue its focus on the core concept of ‘consumer-centric’, and will dare to keep innovating, and make every effort to become a pioneer and leader in the next wave of the smartphone revolution, as well as constantly create new value for consumers, let our consumers better enjoy their lives, and truly make Huawei a brand that is beloved by consumers the world over”.
Most importantly, an iconic and most dazzling smartphone from Huawei named Huawei P20 Pro exceeded 16 Million unit shipments and it’s nearly half of the users base was female.
Though Huawei P20 Pro is Huawei’s first smartphone – comprising a triple-camera, the series also includes a regular P20 variant as well as P20 Lite. So, 16 Million units include all these variants.
Huawei has now claimed that Mate 20 series also saw 5 Million units being shipped in only 2 months of launch. Amazing? Huawei Mate 20 series are backed by Huawei’s latest and super powerful HiSilicon Kirin 980 Processor with 7-nanometer process design for more smoothness.
Aside from P20 and Mate 20 Series, Huawei has said that Nova 3 Series was quite popular with younger users and ultimately helped drive most of the volume. 65 million Units were being sold in 2018 – hence driven a vast volume for Honor (sub-brand).
Huawei Nova 4
Honor recently released Huawei Nova 4 in China which coming up with a small hole on a screen for boasting a front-facing camera and gets rid of a wide or waterdrop-like notch.
Honor V20
Soon we will start getting our hands on Huawei V20 which will be loaded with 48MP rear camera and a hole in a screen as well as a solid and quality-oriented 25MP front-facing camera. According to most recent reports, P30 Pro will also come with a 48MP rear camera and a Quad or four camera configuration outback.
