Release Date & Availability:
[ctt template=”8″ link=”9S24k” via=”no” ]Huawei P20 Pro is undoubtedly the best smartphone Huawei has produced so far. The phone is already on sale in China and UK, but as far as Huawei P20 Pro release date in Australia is concerned, it will start landing on shelves on May 18, 2018.[/ctt]
Updated, “Huawei has announced the phone’s release date of May 18, 2018”.
Price:
A few days back, we were running short in information in terms of prices, but now we know. The Huawei P20 Pro price in Australia will be AU$1099 and it will be available from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman as well as Mobileciti.
Design & Display:
It is high-quality and glossy smartphone having new glass back panel which comes with a wide range of exciting coloring options. Based on Huawei P20 Pro rumors worldwide, Huawei is following iPhone design in terms of finishing and color selection.
You will find a gorgeous fingerprint sensor which is located on the front of the phone. But unfortunately, it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone is backed up by IP67 making device waterproof and dustproof. But you are advised to avoid photo shooting underwater as its still not 100% waterproof set.
Perhaps you’ve heard that Huawei P20 Pro display will be around 6.1-inches OLED with 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s not similar to Samsung Galaxy S9’s display, but it’s considered to be one of the best HD displays around. When it comes to the top of the screen, there’s a notch which accommodates the front-facing camera and speaker. Don’t worry you can hide that notch easily by replacing the screen on either side of it.
Triple Camera:
It’s one of the most creatively inspired and sincerely features packed smartphone camera we’ve ever used. It’s really that good. Huawei P20 Pro comes with the innovative three lens camera configuration on the rear. It may sound gimmicky, but believe us it’s not.
The camera contains a 40MP RGB color lens below an 8MP telephoto lens, whereas the lens below the bump is a 20MP monochrome lens. When you combine all, you’ll get huge 68MPs intensity in total.
Pixel Fusion technology is being used helping capture bright photos and it lets 4 times the amount of light into a pixel. And when using three lenses at once, sharpness is greatly improved. On the other hand, there’s a 24MP front-facing camera.
Performance and Battery:
Talking about the performance of Huawei P20 Pro, it comprises of HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset and 6GB of massive and bigger RAM as compared to its basic version.
As for the storage, 128GB is efficient enough enables you to store all your necessary files and videos. To be noted, you will not be able to increase, as it lacks a microSD card facility.
Just like other Huawei devices, Huawei P20 Pro comes with 4000mAh long-lasting battery. Though we didn’t test it yet, we bet this capacity battery will provide sufficient power to keep you intact even up to two days.
