We all know that Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro have been landed in Australia as well as US, UK, and Asia. This isn’t the end of smartphones for the year – we are still hopeful to see Huawei Mate 11 Pro in Australia with its sibling Huawei Mate 11. The phone is going to be one of the most powerful and fully-backed smartphone thanks to Huawei Mate 11 Pro rumours.
The Mate 11 Pro is far away, but we have added every rumour and news to this article we hear so far and as soon as we hear more, we will update this entire story. Meanwhile, you can have a look at Huawei Mate 11 Pro review including its release date, expected price as well as Huawei Mate 11 Pro leaks and rumours.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro Release Date
Mate series of Huawei has been developing for a couple of years. Therefore, there’s no specific reason to be doubtful that Huawei won’t continue its annual release schedule in 2018. The predecessor i.e. Mate 8, 9 and 10 were launched in November, so it’s most expected Huawei to announce its upcoming Mate 11 range in October with on-sale date in November.
Based on numerous rumours, Huawei Mate 11 Pro release date in Australia is November 2018 – most recent Huawei Mate 10 and 10 Pro went on sale in November 2017.
Are you in the US? Unfortunately, you have been out of luck as normally Huawei doesn’t push its flagships there.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro Price
We are running short on information in terms of price, but Huawei Mate 10 Pro launched at AU$1099, so it’s most likely that Huawei Mate 11 Pro Price in Australia will be at least that much.
Perhaps it will be more, given that Huawei P20 Pro costs around AU$1200 and the Mate 11 Pro is likely to be more powerful as compared to that.

Things are pretty blurred on the ground, just as you’d expect around 6 months ahead of release. But according to Huawei Mate 11 Pro leaks, it will be powered by the Kirin 980 chip.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro Design
We should not expect a lot of change in terms of overall design. The Mate 10 was the first one broke from its traditional Mate design, loaded with all rear glass and IP68 water resistant and even slighter bezels.
Rumours are suggesting that the bezels will shrink even more for Mate 11 Pro and if it comes with a rear glass, the wireless charging is possible. Don’t be too excited as Huawei has defended its decision as wireless charging is pretty slow.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro Display
It is expected that Huawei Mate 11 Pro display will remain OLED, but the resolution will climb a bit higher from 2160 x 1080, which Huawei Mate 10 Pro got. We would be amazed if the slanting changes from 6 inches, though as every Mate smartphone has stuck with this size so far.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro Camera
Honor is a sub-brand on Huawei which is churning out dozens of new smartphones, but one trend which could carry over to Huawei’s flagships is quad cameras. Having said that, adding second FaceTime camera as Huawei Mate 10 has a dual rear camera configuration.
Adding an additional camera at the front will allow Mate 11 Pro to capture gorgeous moments as well as it would be used for a face-unlock feature, again thanks to Huawei Mate 11 Pro rumours.
The rear camera will probably be a little bump over Mate 10 Pro (rumour). The Mate 10 Pro already has dual (f/1.6) sensors, so expecting something else than that doesn’t make any sense.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro RAM and Performance
Most interestingly, Huawei Mate 11 Pro will be loaded with Android P 9.0 operating system as well as company’s own EMUI 9 software.
We will see little hardware updates such as latest version of Bluetooth and faster LTE modem. It will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and Mali-G72 MP12 will handle graphics department.
Talking about its performance, Huawei Mate 11 Pro is likely to run smoothly without showing a sign of lag when playing heavy games and working on multiple tasks.
Huawei Mate 11 Pro Storage and Battery
The Huawei Mate 11 Pro is expected to be landed in two variants – 64GB and 128GB. Just like most of the flagships, its onboard memory is expandable further up to 256GB via microSD card.
As far as its battery capacity is concerned, it will probably have a large battery around 4600mAh. If that rumour turns out to be true, it’s going to be a smartphone that will have biggest battery capacity so far.
