Australia Set to Block Over 80 More Piracy and Stream-Ripping Web Page

A group of film studios and entertainment companies 2 years back (in 2016) successfully started a crusade against an extensive amount of pirating websites and mirrors by bringing them to the attention of the Australian Government.

The result was, Australian government ordered so many swathes of websites including IsoHunt, Torrentz, Pirate Bay and a lot more to be blocked by Australian ISPs or else face whopping penalties.

The loyalty of entertainment companies such as 20th Century Fox, Disney, Columbia, Paramount, Village Roadshow, and Foxtel have now been adding so many domains to the hit list and now set to include more 79 pirate websites.

A Renewed Attach

This new addition will be coming in the form of 2 different applications which will be processed by Australia’s Federal Court (the first of which by aforementioned film companies) and other would be made by several music companies targeting four main stream-ripping websites.

These major stream-ripping websites allow users to download files from the most famous websites such as YouTube. Thus infringing copyright and have been honed in on by Music rights Australia as well as Warner Music, Sony, Universal and APRA (Australasian Performing Right Association).
